Our Belmont branch covers the area north-east of the city including Belmont, Carrville and Gilesgate Moor, and also the part of Gilesgate north of Sunderland Road.

Three branch members serve on Belmont Parish Council: Paul Finley (representing Carrville); Tess Coll (Gilesgate Moor); and Margaret Corrigan (Belmont).

Gilesgate and Belmont Wellbeing Project

The project was started by Chris Fletcher in 2020 and several branch members have been/still are volunteers. It supports local people and families with donated food deliveries and was winner of BBC ‘Making a Difference Award’ – best community group 2025.
